Unrecognisable and at some distance, the musicians of Blonde Redhead play in an enormous black void that is only filled by the music.

For American rock trio Blonde Redhead, film maker and photographer Jérôme Schlomoff used a pinhole camera to make a music video of "Spring & by Summer Fall", combining outdoor shots with concept images of the 'Blonde Redhead Meets Gainsbourg' tour (October 2008, Paris).

En assemblant des images documentaires et de fiction, Fernando DEL CUBO offre une vision de la Movida plus proche de la réalité que de l’image acceptable devenue officielle depuis. Jérôme SCHLOMOFF filme en sténopé les mouvements d’un concert donné par le groupe Blonde Redhead en hommage à Serge Gainsbourg. Jem COHEN fait le portrait de Patti Smith en l’accompagnant dans une marche à travers la ville, dans le quartier où elle vit. Akram ZAATARI et Liliane GIRAUDON réalisent le portrait poétique d’habitants de Tanger. Maite ABELLA filme une femme qui court dans une ville déserte, et recrée des scènes immobiles issues de la peinture flamande du 16ème siècle. Mohamed BOUROUISSA filme une correspondance entre deux individus, l’un emprisonné et l`autre en liberté. Le film se construit sur un échange de textes SMS, d`images et de paroles et questionne les notions de liberté et d’enfermement. Axel PETERSÉN portraitise à Bethléem un descendant des croisés du XXIIIème siècle, un homme admirateur de Louis II de Bavière et de Richard Clayderman. Simon MULLAN filme un danseur dans un environnement inattendu. Florencia P. MARANO observe un corps ambigu face à un miroir, et questionne la réversibilité et l’identité du genre masculin et féminin. Marie LOSIER réalise, dans le style des scopitones des années 60, un clip avec Genesis P-Orridge sur un ring de boxe.

For the American rock trio Blonde Redhead, filmmaker and photographer Jérôme Schlomoff used a pinhole camera to make a music video of their song "Spring & by Summer Fall." The video combines outdoor shots with concert footage recorded during the "Blond Redhead meets Gainsbourg" tour in Paris in October 2008. The song appears to be about someone searching for his own life who only manages to see fragments of it in the expressions of passersby. The feelings of desolation and longing are clearly visible in the images. Unrecognizable and at a distance, the musicians play in an enormous emptiness that is only occupied by the music. Outside, the camera travels over a railroad track, looking for someone or something. The effect of the pinhole camera is that all images from the past appear to be snatched away, and as a result are endowed with something tragic. Jérôme Schlomoff started using a pinhole camera he built himself as the medium for his 35mm films back in 2000. This camera with no lens works by allowing light into an otherwise lightproof box through a miniscule hole, which records the images on film. Schlomoff's film Amsterdam Reconstruction was selected for Paradocs in 2007.
